According to Yang Xiaolin, Deputy General Director of GAC Motor Russia, today it is extremely difficult to predict which brands may return and in what time frame. The market remains unstable, and conditions are constantly changing.
If global brands decide to return, they will have to work in a qualitatively new and much more competitive environment. During this time, Chinese automakers have not only gained a foothold, but have significantly increased the expertise and level of their products.
The GAC emphasizes that the company relies on more than 20 years of experience in cooperation with such giants as Toyota and Honda. This background allowed the brand to create cars that meet international standards of quality, technology and reliability.
What does this mean for the market? Even if global brands return, they will have to prove their competitiveness anew — not only with price, but also with technology, quality, and adaptation to local conditions.
