Toyota is set to unveil the new generation RAV4 on May 21. Judging by the first images, the crossover features a large grille, an aggressive bumper with a big air intake, squared wheel arches, and the brand’s signature C-shaped headlights seen on recent models. The exterior is complemented by a sculpted hood, distinctive LED lights with vertical stripes, and a massive spoiler.
Technical details are still under wraps, but the new model is expected to be built on the updated TNGA-K platform. A hybrid version with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors will be available: the front-wheel-drive variant will produce 225 hp, while the all-wheel-drive version will deliver 232 hp. There are also rumors of a fully electric version.
Sales are scheduled to start in fall 2025, with an estimated price starting at $30,000. Main competitors include the Mazda CX-5, Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester, Kia Sportage, and Hyundai Tucson.
